New Trends in Kitchenware Industry

Use of Induction Cooking
Trends include upscaling of cookware by consumers and a growing influence of "foodies" who drive trends.
Fierce competition in the cookware industry has benefited the consumer, and increased use of higher-quality materials in its manufacture.
Induction cooking ranges are experiencing brisk sales as consumers learn about benefits of modern appliances. The trend is shifting from gas appliances to electrical appliances due to advantages including increased safety, lower cost and superior function. Induction range use a magnetic field to generate whirling flows of electricity. Some of the induction cooking appliances include products such as rice cookers, grills and pressure cookers.Induction cooking has been around in Europe for years and is now becoming a popular trend in American kitchens. It works with coils made of magnetic materials, which are used to generate a lot of heat. When that heat is released is goes directly into the pan instead of spreading out over the cooktop like a regular gas or electric range.
Induction cooktops are available in a variety of shapes to fit any size kitchen. They also consume less energy and don't require a sophisticated ventilation system.
One of the advantages of an induction cooktop is that is doesn't transfer heat unless it's touching a reactive magnetic pan made of iron or steel.
